With the goal of keeping mortgage and finance brokers top of mind for homebuyers, the
latest consumer campaign from the MFAA hit the mark, recording over 3.6 million
impressions.
Featuring digital ads across Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google and other digital
platforms that homebuyers typically visit, MFAA CEO Anja Pannek explained that the
purpose of the campaign was to reinforce the value of talking to a mortgage and finance
broker.
“The success of this campaign has shown, once again, that Australians are seeking out
support when it comes to securing a home loan – the type of support only a mortgage and
finance broker can offer,” Ms Pannek continued.
The campaign ran for six weeks from August to September and highlighted the benefits of
using a mortgage and finance broker, saw 24,000 clicks through to the MFAA’s Find a
Broker site where homebuyers can search for an MFAA Accredited Broker in their area.
“Mortgage brokers are the channel of choice for Australian home buyers and all aspiring
homebuyers, and those considering refinancing, should be talking to a broker,” said Ms
Pannek.
“While more than seven out of ten home loans are written by mortgage brokers, no
homebuyer should miss out on the benefits of talking to a broker because they simply
weren’t aware of what a broker offers.”
Promoting the value of talking to a mortgage and broker is a core aspect of how the
Association supports its over 15,000 members.
“Talking to a broker is about more than an interest rate, brokers are here to help guide and
support home buyers throughout the whole property purchase process,” said MFAA CEO
Anja Pannek.
“Our members are also a fantastic avenue for people thinking about buying a home, a broker
helps their clients understand what they need to do to prepare and be in the best possible
position when they apply for a home loan.”
The campaign also highlighted that MFAA members meet the highest standards in the
industry giving prospective clients even more confidence.
“In addition to the consumer protection inherent in the mortgage broker Best Interests Duty,
MFAA members have the highest level of education and ongoing professional development
in the industry, including an industry-first annual compliance refresher,” Ms Pannek said.
“Being an MFAA member is a trusted mark of professionalism, a mark homebuyers can rely
on.”
The MFAA will continue to promote the mortgage and finance broker value proposition to
Australian homebuyers.
“We’re already looking forward to our next campaign, which will be in the first half of next
year, as we continue to keep the spotlight on the amazing work our members do in helping
their clients reach their home ownership goals,” said Ms Pannek.
