Today, Loan Market announces the appointment of Stephen Scahill as State Director for NSW &
ACT, in addition to his ongoing role as Group Executive of Commercial Finance. This expanded
leadership position reflects Loan Market’s commitment to providing brokers with unmatched
support, experience, and guidance as they grow their businesses.
For brokers, Scahill’s appointment means access to a familiar face, as one of the industry’s most
seasoned leaders and someone who understands what matters to brokers. With over a decade at
Loan Market and LMG, Scahill has been a critical part of the network’s journey from a franchise
brand to Australia’s largest broker network, holding roles from Chief Operating Officer to Group
Executive of Commercial Finance.
Under Scahill’s leadership, the LMG Commercial Finance business has become the country’s
largest network of commercial brokers and recently won Commercial Aggregator of the Year at the
CAFBA Awards. His appointment brings NSW & ACT brokers confidence in the support and
leadership that’s been built from within.
David McQueen, CEO, Loan Market said: “Change is constant in our industry, and that’s why having
a familiar face like Steve leading NSW & ACT is a win for brokers.
“Steve’s experience and understanding of brokers is second to none. He’s not just about business
growth; he’s about building a network where brokers feel part of a family; where support is real and
success is mutual.”
Scahill’s expanded role comes at a pivotal time as Loan Market NSW & ACT strengthens its local
leadership, adding three additional broker support specialists for NSW & ACT:
● Associate Director, Alberto Gorgioski
● Head of Growth, Andrew Drake
● Broker Success Manager, Marko Putica
These appointments provide brokers with even more access to hands-on support and business
coaching to achieve their ambitions.
Scahill added, “I’ve been part of this journey since 2010, and what’s always driven me is making
sure our brokers feel like they’re part of something meaningful. With the growth we’re seeing, it’s
about keeping that family feel while giving brokers everything they need to succeed.”
For NSW & ACT brokers, the expanded leadership means they now have an even stronger local
team, familiar faces they know and trust, and access to the right technology, products and services
to stay ahead.
