Streamlined Documentation Requirements

To simplify your experience with us, we've made a recent policy adjustment, where transaction account statements will now only be required in the following situations:

  • Net Income Surplus (NIS) is below $200 per month; or
  • Living expenses are below Gateway’s HEM benchmark; or
  • For debt consolidation > $10,000 (excluding home loan refinances); or
  • They are needed for income or expense verification (e.g. bonus income, commission income, rental costs).

Refinance with Reduced Paperwork

Our simplified refinance process can also help you reduce time spent chasing client documentation and statements.

If your client is looking for a straight dollar for dollar refinance, and has a satisfactory credit history and conduct on existing loans, then the application can be processed without the need for:

  • Transaction account statements, 
  • Mortgage statements, consumer loans and credit card statements, as long as the other lender is on Comprehensive Credit Reporting (CCR) with a minimum 3 months history for consumer loans and credit cards, and 6 months history for home loans is available, and
  • Verification of living expenses.
